Photos of the latest DOTD skulls

I am having fun with new colors on the skulls. and on the inside too. I have a textured cobalt, clear crackle, bronze and copper on the insides of the skulls. Here are some photos of the work at different stages.
After black copper oxide is brushed and wiped away (above)
After painting underglaze - the red brown I like

Playing around with new colors and patterns..this photo does no justice to the colors...but gives you an idea.

It's wonderful to see the personalities emerging as you go from step to step with this new family of skulls. The colours are very, very nice. I'll sneak a peek when I head to Clayworks tonight.

WOW Elaine! I love the picture of the six on the shelf looking at me. These guys or gals are terrific. The photo looking down at their ? (heads) looks like a skull convention. Mr. really big skull looks like the ring leader. Great looking tribe!
